Biden Tribute 'One of The Most Partisan, Liberal Men in the Last Century'

I seem to remember someone renouncing partisanship while running for president, someone who campaigned on reaching across the aisle and putting an end to politics as usual. Here are some quotes from that guy

If we think that we can use the same partisan playbook where we just challenge our opponent's patriotism to win an election, then the American people will lose.

And those who do are likely to be those with the most insular views of faith, or who cynically use religion to justify partisan ends...

Politics has become so bitter and partisan, so gummed up by money and influence, that we can't tackle the big problems that demand solutions

We need a leader who can finally move beyond the divisive partisanship of Washington and bring Democrats, Independents, and Republicans together to get things done.

Partisanship is why we can’t tackle the big problems that demand solutions. And that’s what we have to change first.
